Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Patient Experience Educator.
In this role, the successful candidate The patient experience educators guide leaders and staff in gaining awareness of patients' perceptions of the hospital experience by assessing educational needs and planning and implementing educational programs. The educator will support the perfect experience by planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities that support improving patient experience based on evidence based practice. Demonstrates and fosters collaborative relationships within the patient experience department as well as across the organization. The patient experience educator will utilize a strong knowledge base coupled with exemplary communication skills to achieve results through education and coaching.
Inspire and coach others to design and deliver the perfect experience to patients
Provide feedback and build a culture of promoting peer review
Participates in quality and performance improvement initiatives
Maintains education and clinical competency by participation in continuing education, professional organizations and related activities.
Roles models service standards in actions and communications with patients, families, and other disciplines
Works collaboratively with clinical leadership to identify learning needs and provide learning opportunities to facilitate change and performance improvement.
Demonstrates visibility, accessibility and effective communications that convey a strong sense of advocacy and support for staff and leadership.
Utilizes role playing and simulation to enhance learning
Provides coaching in clinical settings
Build curriculum designed from an understanding of adult learning needs
Evaluates and enhances programs based on feedback
Designs and implements educational programs that incorporate patient feedback and are based on evidence and support excellence in patient centered care.
Develops educational goals that are congruent with the organization and Patient Experiences mission, philosophy, and strategic direction.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Master's Degree in healthcare or related field with at least five years of clinical experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills. rong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. derstanding of health literacy principles.
