The Practice Manager is responsible for successfully managing and operating Beacon clinic(s) involving one or more specialty disciplines and/or clinic sites (Occupational Medicine, Family Practice, etc.). Provides team and providers with the resources required to meet quality and safe patient care and the financial objectives of the assigned clinics.
Monitor day to day clinic operations with regular rounding in clinics to monitor environment. Facilitate daily, weekly or monthly team and provider meetings.
Utilize communication skills effectively when interacting with clients, patients, families, team, clinical and non-clinical team, providers and other Beacon service areas.
Communicate clinic and system policies, initiatives and priorities to providers and team timely and professionally.
Act as a patient liaison when patient satisfaction or safety issues arise.
Work with VP, Medical and Training to develop clinic strategic plans and objectives based upon needs of clients, patients and clinic(s).
Promote positive interactions when interfacing with external providers, health care facilities and community agencies to build satellite relationships.
Review accounts receivable reports as required.
Ensure clinical equipment receives appropriate maintenance and updates as needed.
Monitor expenditures and follow cost management guidelines.
Code and forward all bills for payment to Finance.
Monitor and research encounters to ensure proper documentation for charge capture and claim submission.
Work closely with the team to resolve any billing discrepancies and other billing concerns.
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Participate in the selection, training and supervision of clinical and non-clinical team.
Participate in team supervision, annual performance evaluations and corrective action processes with general direction and guidance of HR Director.
Receptive to team and provider suggestions and take action to solve problems that interfere with rock star customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, having fun and team engagement.
Coordinate team schedules, including employee requests for PTO making sure key positions are covered daily.
Provide support for the payroll function through administration of employee timecards and approval to meet set timelines.
Prepares required reports within requested time frame. Ensures that daily, weekly, monthly and year-end reports are generated and submitted no later than the time line designated for completion.
Assist the VP, Medical and Training Services and Medical Director in the formulation and administration of policies, procedures and operations regarding quality, safe patient care. Assure all processes comply with professional standards of care (CLIA, OSHA, Radiology, etc.) and are in line with job description.
Coordinate requests for education and monitor licensure of licensed team.
Attend and participate in approved/requested committees and meetings.
Provides patient-centered customer service, add to a positive and effective team focused environment while being fiscally responsible to aid in the delivery of all services supporting the success of Beacon as a whole.

Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in healthcare and clinical operation management required with experience managing clinical and non-clinical team. Business experience in a very active work environment. Experience with an Electronic Health Record and Practice Management system required.
