POSITION: Advanced Assistant/Associate Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy; Director of Couple and Family Therapy Center in Hammond, Indiana
The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Purdue University Northwest in Hammond and Westville, Indiana, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the advanced assistant or the associate professor level as Director of the Couple and Family Therapy Center beginning August 13, 2018. Salary is commensurate with experience.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Purdue University Northwest Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Master's Program is a highly-regarded COAMFTE-accredited program, whose students frequently win national awards, publish in peer-reviewed family therapy journals, and seek doctoral education. The Couple and Family Therapy Center (CFTC) serves the Chicagoland area, providing students with opportunities to work with diverse clients. Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE-accredited program
AAMFT Clinical Fellowship and Approved Supervisor Status
Eligibility for Indiana licensure as an LMFT
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Individuals with the following experience are strongly encouraged to apply:
Five or more years of experience in the field
Experience directing a therapy clinic
Directing the Couple and Family Therapy Center (CFTC)
Supervising graduate marriage and family therapy practicum students within the Purdue University Northwest Couple and Family Therapy Center
Teaching marriage and family therapy graduate courses
Serving on graduate marriage and family therapy student theses
Teaching undergraduate human development and family studies courses
Overseeing CFTC administration, marketing and community outreach
Maintaining an active program of research inclusive of graduate and undergraduate students in their field of expertise
Providing service to the university and the field of marriage and family therapy through state, regional, and national associations.
