• Earned doctorate in an area central to conducting clinical research, such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology, Applied Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, Social Work/Public Health, Couples and Family Therapy, Communication Disorders and Sciences, or a closely related field. • Progressively higher managerial experience in a clinical setting; university-based, or public or private health care setting. • A record of scholarly productivity and excellence commensurate with level of experience. • A record of excellence with conducting, administering, and sustaining a significant program of scientifically rigorous research. • A record of, or evidence of potential for, obtaining external research funding. • A record of teaching, mentoring, and/or supervising graduate students.
The Couples and Family Therapy (CFT) master's specialization is a 90-credit, two-year program that prepares students to become professional family therapists in preparation for state licensure. The CFT program has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) since 2003, and approved by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT).
