The EEG technologist is a training position for an individual to develop the knowledge necessary to sit for registry with the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABREAT). Performs neurodiagnostic procedures according to American Society of ElectroNeuroDiagnostic Technologists guidelines.
Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited educational program for EEG Technology. Ability to perform CPR (BLS) mandatory. Ability to deal effectively with stress. Ability to read, write and understand English. Auditory and visual acuity to assess patients and perform neurological testing. Must be able to understand and react effectively to the age-specific needs unique to assigned patients. Experience in a patient care environment preferred.
