Social Worker (MSW) or Mental Health Counselor (MHC)
Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital is an 86 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital in Panama City, Florida which provides treatment options to children, adolescents, adults, active duty service members and their families, and Veterans. Our specialized multidisciplinary treatment services are provided by highly trained psychiatrists, therapists, addiction counselors, nurses, and activities therapists. Panama City, FL is located on the panhandle of northwest Florida on beautiful St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The MSW/MHC provides for the delivery and documentation of age/population specific psychotherapy and social services. Assists family members and referral sources with continuum of care from the admission process through discharge planning.
Complete psychosocial assessment appropriate to patient type and reason for referral.
Provides clinically sound individual, family, and group therapies within required time frames and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Provide quality documentation for psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, therapies, court reports, discharge planning, staffing, Baker Act hearings and medical records within required time frames.
Promotes safe and therapeutic interdisciplinary patient care through consultation and supervision, effective communication, interactions with and training of direct care staff as needed, and milieu interventions.
