Centennial PeaksÂ is seeking a highly motivated Health Information Technician.
Centennial Peaks Hospital is a 104 bed facility located in beautiful Louisville, CO. We are dedicated to providing a full range of mental health and chemical dependency services to the state of Colorado. We strive to enhance the mental health, safety and well-being of our patients, their families, and the community at large by providing ethical, compassionate, medically and psychologically integrated inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for psychiatric and addiction disorders. The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment is critical.Â Must be available to work day shift (8 am - 4:30 pm) 4 days per week.
JOB SUMMARY: This full-time position is responsible for routine tasks carried out by medical records staff including, but not limited to, coordination of release of information, transmission of continuation of care documentation, deficiency analysis of the (hybrid) medical record, inpatient and outpatient coding, data entry, filing and other clerical functions. Most possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. An associateâ€™s degree in health information management is preferred. Previous HIM experience desirable but will consider a second-year student or new graduate. The Health Information Management department supports hospital staff and hospital leadership in the provision of high quality patient care. The HIM team protects the integrity and confidentiality of the medical record after discharge, ensuring that each patientâ€™s follow-up care provider has the documentation necessary to facilitate ongoing medical care. We use our resources to support all the facility departments and to coordinate the release and disclosure of protected health information to requesting entities.Â This is an entry level position.
