Turning Point Care Center has an opening for aÂ full-time night shiftÂ Patient Tech for our Men's unit. Patient Techs play a vital role in providing excellent care for our patients and are a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches.
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment.
Maintain accurate and complete data and records.
Performs observation rounds
Communicates therapeutically and age appropriately.
Intervenes with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique.
Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills.
Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria.
Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care.
This position'sÂ schedule is Monday - Friday from 9:30pm to 6:00am.Â
