Plans, supervises, and evaluates patient care and nursing personnel of clinical area on a 24-hour basis. Coordinates duties for all shifts to accomplish continuity of safe quality patient care. Monitors outcome measures and shares variances with Employees for continuous process improvement in a clinical area. Responsible for supervision of the Hospital as requested by the Nursing Director.
A. Work Experience
Five year clinical nursing experience in specialty required, of which two years should be in a nursing leadership role (may include leadership as a Charge Nurse).
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
Clinical Specialty Certification preferred.
Nursing Executive Leadership Certification required or obtained within four years of being in position, unless attending classes to obtain a higher degree in Nursing.
