The School of Health Professions and Education is seeking to fill a position in the online Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (HCA) Program, with the potential for serving as Director of the program. The position will encompass teaching, student advisement and scholarly work. The rapidly expanding program consists of 36 credits with 8 week online courses offered to healthcare practitioners and aspiring leaders throughout the USA. The position will work closely with full-time and adjunct faculty to continue to develop the program to CAHME standards while expanding professional networks with organizations partnering in research and leadership development.
The position requires an online teaching load of 24 hours, student program advisement, curriculum and evaluation development, representation of the HCA program on college committees, and support in health care community development. Candidates should possess a doctoral degree in health related/administration field. The successful candidate will also demonstrate an ability to successfully meet internal college obligations and engagements. Several key attributes include: Work with faculty and students in conducting research, promoting best practice and interdisciplinary collaboration; Demonstrate ability to develop relationships furthering HCA, School of HPE and Utica College in regional, national communities; and Perform as “model” academic leader in scholarship, teaching and service.
