The Respiratory Shift Manager (Adult Units) is a frontline leadership position that has 12 hour shift responsibility. It is responsible for the coordination of care of patients and families and accountable for scheduling, coordinating and maintaining resources necessary on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. In conjunction with the Dept. Director, the incumbent will plan, organize, direct and evaluate people and activities for the department to ensure high quality and cost-effective patient care. The incumnet has fiscal responsibility for resources that are contributors from other departments who impact the services of the department. The success of the department depends significantly on the incumbent's ability to participate well with others and/or collaborate with other managers, dept. leaders and hospital stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements: * Prior lead or supervisory experience. * 3+ years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. * 3+ years of experience in directing employees, assessing performance and managing staff and department operations in a Team Lead capacity or higher is required. * Ability to multi-task and problem solve. * Computer based skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teaching ability. * Able to manage multiple priorities.
