Education: Graduate of an accredited healthcare or business related program.
Licensure, Certification and Registration: None
Required Work Experience: 2 years of Risk Management experience.
Develops, implements, and coordinates risk management activities for Memorial Healthcare System.
1. Develops, implements, and evaluates practices and policies to ensure patient safety, employee safety and quality of care.
2. Collects and assesses data to identify potential or actual sources of risk to patients and employees.
3. Collaborates with all staff and applicable committees with respect to risk-related incidents, claims, litigation, policies, and practices. Assists with the initial response, investigation and handling of patient and employee claims.
4. Develops or facilitates patient safety, employee safety, and quality of care initiatives.
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills,effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be self motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to identify issues,conduct investigations and work collaboratively toward resolution.
