The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences, Yale School of Medicine has an immediate full time position open for a board eligible/board certified genetic counselor to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians in a high volume prenatal diagnosis service as part of a world class Maternal Fetal Medicine academic faculty practice, housed in a state-of-the-art outpatient facility. The genetic counselor will provide counseling for first trimester risk assessment, CVS, amniocentesis, ultrasound examination, NIPS, and assisted reproductive technology including PGS and PGD. There is an active Fetal Therapy program, as well as several other multidisciplinary programs that contribute to a diverse clinical experience. The counselor will interpret and evaluate patient/family medical histories, coordinate genetic testing at in-house and specialty laboratories; interpret medical/genetic tests; communicate results to patients, families, referring physicians and other specialists; recommend follow-up care and arrange referrals to medical specialists; participate in the development and implementation of new approaches to providing genetic counseling services; participate in the design and execution of genetic research projects; write and edit articles for professional journals.
Masters in Genetic Counseling and either Board Eligible or Board Certified
