|Qualifications: 1) Graduate degree in clinical mental health; 2) Significant post-graduate psychotherapy training in treatment modalities 3) Post-graduate experience as psychotherapist in private practice. 4) The candidate must have an independent DC license in one of the counseling professions (social worker, psychologist, marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, psychiatrist, etc.). 4) Working evenings and one weekend day is required, with the option to take on more and more week-daytime hours as your practice becomes established. |
Clinicians with specializations in any of the following areas are preferred: client-centered therapies, experiential (emotion-focused) couples therapy, mindfulness-based therapy (such as IFS, somatic experiencing, sensory- motor, or DBT), couples therapy, and sex therapy. Clinicians who also have undertaken experiential post-grad psychotherapy training (i.e., learning that focuses on applying techniques to you personally, not just academic learning) is also highly preferred (personal therapy counts!)
