|Education: APA-approved doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology (Preferred). |
Experience: Previous college or university counseling center, clinical, and administrative experience required. Will also consider applicants with private practice experience.
Professional Certification: Must be a licensed Psychologist or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.
Preferred Qualifications A minimum 5 years of post-license experience..
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities •Possesses broad, “generalist” clinical skills, including experience assessing and intervening with a range of disorders, concerns, and degrees of pathology. •Experience in college mental health administration. •Crisis management skills and experience. •Excellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. •Demonstrated ability to prioritize high-volume workload. •Familiarity with college policies and procedures, student issues/concerns, and campus issues. •Demonstrated commitment to engaging a diverse student population. •Collaboration, team-building, and leadership skills. •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and good listening skills. •Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality within legal and institutional guidelines. •Proficiency in public speaking and leading group discussions. •Experience with common office equipment and software (e.g., Microsoft Windows & Office, Internet, and general computer knowledge).
