The Laboratory of Clinical Cell Production at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute (EACRI) at Providence Cancer Center is recruiting a Research Associate Lead to coordinate and support the development of a new clinical cell production lab that will focus on T-cell transfer immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with metastatic cancers. The main role of the clinical T-cell therapy lab is to generate novel, safe and effective T-cell products specifically targeting tumor antigens that will be used to treat patients with cancer.
This position involves coordination of the lab activities as well as extensive lab protocol and process development, including optimization of cell culture methods for patient treatment. Additional responsibilities include hands-on translational research, data analysis, and training and education.
Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture and cGMP compliance are major assets. Expertise with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis are desired. Experience with common immunological techniques such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and flow cytometry are also assets. The candidate must be highly organized, have great attention to detail, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The individual will be highly motivated and be able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be flexible, cool under pressure, and have the ability to manage multiple projects within strict deadlines.

In this position, you will:
Assist the Laboratory Chief in the planning, organization, implementation, and design of research activities in the Cancer Research laboratories.
Be responsible for scientific and administrative duties that are performed independently under the supervision of the Laboratory Chief.
Assist and provide expertise for the research activities of new laboratory members, research fellows, graduate students, etc.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor of the Arts (BA) with major courses in the field of research
- 5 years of research lab experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in appropriate biomedical field
