Responsible for the day to day work flow and employee supervision related to Laboratory Assistants/Phlebotomists in the Lab Department. Ensures daily compliance with policies and procedures related to the Laboratory Assistants/Phlebotomists. Supervises the Laboratory Assistants/Phlebotomists related to technical skills and behaviors. Collaborates with laboratory management to conduct performance appraisals and takes action on personnel issues. Addresses and resolves discrepancies and concerns related to specimen collection and processing activities. Performs phlebotomy, clerical, and assigned laboratory tasks and procedures as stated in the Laboratory Assistant position description.
