Providence is calling an Occupational Therapist to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a dynamic OT to join our multidisciplinary pediatric team of caregivers who provide pediatric therapy services to patients with the goals to improve the patients cognitive, physical, sensory, perceptual and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. In this position you will:
Provide initial patient evaluation in accordance to physician request in order to initiate appropriate treatment, which is reasonable in the terms of accepted practice and necessary to recovery of function.
Establish treatment goals and plan of care based on assessment and test results.
Provide therapy treatment to facilitate motor, sensory, perceptual and cognitive development.
Provide education to patients and their families.
Utilize software systems for the maintenance of patient records and ommunication with team members.
Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan, organize and chart the future of pediatric therapy services as well as improve patient care and performance.
Responsible for ensuring that the clinic is financially successful.
Work with a collaborative team of therapists to assure the highest quality, evidence based care is provided to our patients.
Provide therapy to children with a wide range of diagnoses.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree and a Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure in Washington State
Current BLS AHA certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One year experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical field
Post graduate experience
