Director, Roper St. Francis Cardiovascular Services

Combine your leadership abilities and knowledge of cardiac medicine to promote enhanced health and well-being for the community we serve. Reporting to the CEO of Roper Hospital, the professional we select will collaborate with the MD physician director of the Cardiovascular Integrated Practice Network (IPN) to provide medical and administrative direction for the IPN. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IPN, including oversight of the clinical care delivery team performance and financial performance, this highly capable individual will hold collaborative accountability for operational efficiency, defining/designing system-wide standards, and eliminating areas of clinical variation. Setting the strategic vision and objectives for cardiovascular IPN growth, this person will drive performance improvement, facilitate control of resources for optimal performance, and provide leadership and business development of employed (RSFPP) cardiology practices.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (MHA/MBA preferred); 5+ years of progressive leadership experience including two or more at the senior level; and—if possessing a master’s degree in nursing administration—current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of South Carolina or current compact/multi-state licensure as a registered nurse in a recognized NCSBN compact state and status as a non-resident of South Carolina. Additional essentials include knowledge of related management principles and an extensive understanding of the clinical care of the cardiovascular patient. Proficiency in system-wide applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of clinical systems such as WINPFS, STAR, and CareManager required.
