Histology Tech Per Diem, 4am – 7am Bethesda Health Boynton Beach

You will implement and monitor specimen accession, identification, and retention systems according to section policies. Technical duties involve above average coordination and manual dexterity in order to fix, cut, mount and stain Histology specimens and process body fluids for cytology studies. Must be able to operate a cryostat so as to produce excellent frozen sections in a timely manner; must perform morgue duties as required by the Pathologist. Familiarity with all reagents and quality assurance in the department and assists in selecting appropriate control samples to monitor assays and/or procedures required.
S. degree or two to three year diploma at college level or equivalent.
Florida Technologist license in Histology/H.T. (ASCP), H.T.L. (ASCP) or equivalent.
1 to 2 years within a hospital setting or private laboratory facility.
