Position Summary: Respiratory Care Practitioner II - Transport Team
The Respiratory Care Practitioner III 12-Hr provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience for the neonatal and pediatric transport department at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach. Exhibits comprehensive intuition in clinical situations and is able to mobilized needed resources to achieve positive patient outcomes. Responsible for total respiratory care during outer and inter-facility transports. Able to perform as a proficient-to-expert clinician within the NICU/PICU populations. Role models at the expert level of practice, maintains advanced clinical skills, demonstrates leadership ability, displays professional behavior and contributions to the MCHWLB transport team and MHS.
• A current license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in California is required. • A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification is also required. • A current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. • A current Neonatal Resuscitation program (NRP) certification. • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in PICU or NICU. • Transport experience is preferred.
