The University of South Florida (USF) Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling Program is seeking a full-time, 12-month Instructor for their Master’s Program. This position will be responsible for developing courses for the newly proposed master’s degree, teach classes, and provide clinical supervision in the current program. They will be responsible for coordinating future field placements for the proposed Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) master’s degree. We seek individuals who bring enthusiasm and a deep commitment to academic excellence, within the scholar-practitioner tradition. We are particularly interested in candidates who are able to provide leadership, work with diverse students, stakeholders, and colleagues, and who have experience and credentials in marriage and family therapy, and mental health.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in a Counseling field and identifies professionally as a Marriage and Family Therapist per the COAMFTE accreditation standards. Must be licensed as an LMFT, is eligible for MFT licensure in Florida within a year, and is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow. Additionally, is an AAMFT approved supervisor or an AAMFT supervisor candidate. Preferred Qualifications: Graduated from a COAMFTE accredited masters or PhD program. Has an active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida, five or more years of professional experience in leadership, teaching and/or delivering clinical services. Has knowledge of local community based mental health services; and demonstrated success in teaching graduate level courses in marriage and family therapy or mental health counseling.
