Texas NeuroRehab Center (TNC) provides complex medical and brain injury rehab, chemical dependency treatment for adults and neuropsychiatric treatment for youth. The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges. Texas NeuroRehab is currently accepting applications for a Pharmacist - PRN. The Pharmacist responsibility is to assure that all-patient medication orders are filled as prescribed by physicians for patients of all ages. To maintain the pharmacy work area and pharmacy inventory. To deliver pharmaceuticals to the patient care unit. To maintain all required legal and billing records. To provide pharmaceutical care to all hospital patients. To supervise overall operation of the pharmacy in conjunction with the Regional Pharmacy Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for the following: Comply with all Administrative, clinical, and Human Resources policies and procedures. Fill medications ordered by physicians. Provide pharmaceutical care to patients and participate in staffing. Maintain pharmacy inventory in a safe and cost effective manner. Participate in the performance improvement processes of medication use. Maintains patient billing files. Participate in developing polices and procedures that promote the effective, appropriate, and safe use of drugs in the hospital. Maintains safe, clean, and sanitary work area in pharmacy. Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit milieu, and hospital mission and philosophy. And other duties as assigned. |
