Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center offers hope and healing for youth ages 7 to 18 at the time of admission with several psychiatric diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities. Located in Portsmouth, VA, Harbor Point provides intensive, residential treatment to youth in a comfortable setting that is conducive to healing. Our facility specializes in treating children and adolescents with depression, bipolar, ADHD, and other mental health issues. We also have specific treatment programs for those with intellectual disabilities or those with self-injurious behavior. Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). (Supervision Preferred) The candidate selected will be responsible for providing psychotherapy services for youth, adolescents and their families. Essential Functions: - Provides psychotherapy services for residents to include individual, family and group therapy.
- Complete Bio-psychosocial evaluations, risk and psychological assessments as appropriate.
- Maintain all documentation according to facility guidelines to include progress notes, case management and individualized service plans.
- Attends all treatment teams for assigned residents.
- Attends weekly clinical supervision.
- Provides clinical support/training for mental health techs.
- Completes all progress notes and submit billing slips day of service.
- Completes psychosocial assessment within 7 days of admission.
- Completes clinical formulations for review by licensed mental health professional prior to the development of the Master ISP.
- Completes individualized services plans within 24 hours of treatment team meeting.
- Weekend coverage on a rotating basis.
