The University of Illinois Cancer Center invites applications for an open-rank faculty position in the area of cancer prevention and control and with a commitment to eliminating cancer health disparities.
Candidates must have a strong scholarly record and history of successful external funding in areas relevant for cancer prevention and control. We are particularly interested in candidates with research experience in health disparities, dissemination and implementation science, or in intervention development within federally qualified health care centers. The successful candidate will contribute to developing programs in cancer survivorship, behavioral risk factor reduction, implementation science, or policy and population-level approaches to understanding cancer risk behaviors. The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of researchers and contribute to mentoring trainees.
Doctoral degree in psychology, health policy, health economics, biostatistics, other social science discipline, public health, aging or a health-related field required; strong publication record and currently active external grant funding.
The academic home college/department for this position will be determined based on the optimal fit with the candidate's research and disciplinary orientation.
