Assists the Foundation in the daily management and activities of the SVH Auxiliary by overseeing and taking responsibility for maintaining fundraising programs facilitated by the SVH Auxiliary and the recruitment of volunteers. Assists and works closely with the SVH Auxiliary to support the functions of the Gift Shop and its paid employees, volunteers, and serves as Foundation liaison to the SVH Auxiliary.Responsible for conducting the business operations of buying, marketing, selling, and planning for the gift shop. Assists the Foundation with internal coordination of fundraising activities, financial reporting and budget preparation.
Will assist in other duties as necessary at the discretion of management.
EDUCATION: Associate degree or above in an appropriate major, preferably in business, communications, or public administration.
SKILLS: Must posses strong business and financial management skills, communicate effectively with a diversity of people. Ability to organize, motivate, and supervise.
EXPERIENCE: Four years in retail sales or small retail business operations; experience in buying. Experience must include training and monitoring staff to meet consumer needs in a retail setting, establishing and implementing a plan for marketing, merchandising, purchasing, inventory control, and financial records.
