This position is a highly involved, visible, resident centric role within the community. It will be responsible for the development, oversight, and operations of the facility including but not limited to ensuring the facility meets resident and community needs and is in compliance with state, local and/or federal regulations as well as meets licensure requirements. The position will maintain full accountability for overall fiscal integrity, sales, marketing, resident satisfaction, employee relations, strategy and program development while keeping engaged with the residents and the pulse of the community.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, gerontology or related field and at least 5 years management experience in a retirement community or equivalent level of education and experience. Retirement Housing Professional certification is a plus. Strong interpersonal and listening skills are essential with the ability to work diplomatically and compassionately with residents and families. Previous sales, marketing and supervisory experience is necessary as are strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
