JOB TITLE: Senior Product Manager LOCATION: Geisinger Office Building I DEPARTMENT: Business Intelligence/Innovation WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Product Manager is a management role within the clinical and product innovation arm of the Steele Institute for Health Innovation. This position is responsible for the day to day management of products including prototype development, regulatory and compliance submissions, project planning, team management, project tracking, financial oversight, product testing and implementation. Assists with creation of final reports and publication. This position is also responsible for assisting the Product Innovation leadership in proposal development and financial planning. The Senior Product Manager is expected to operate nearly independently, handling all facets of each project without direct supervision.
This position is also responsible for direct personnel management.

Demonstrates competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills (interpersonal communication and technological effectiveness competencies). Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as with multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrates critical thinking skills. Demonstrates excellent documentation and communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to lead others, assign workload, organize projects, prioritize the work of others, and resolve problems that arise. Demonstrates understanding of product life cycle. Demonstrates the ability to prepare product/project plans, estimate cost and time appropriately and assist with budgets and planning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Public Health, or similar field required. Minimum of 5 years of product/project management and/or product development experience in a healthcare research/innovation related environment required.
Experience in direct personnel management is preferred.
Healthcare experience in a large organization required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSCIAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
