Catholic Health, located in Buffalo, New York, has retained Cejka Search to conduct a national search for an accomplished healthcare executive to serve as the Chief Quality Officer & Senior Vice President, Quality & Safety.

Serving as a key member of the Chief Clinical Officer and Physician Executive’s leadership cabinet, the Chief Quality Officer will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, leading and managing all functions and activities of Quality & Safety, Clinical and Operational Effectiveness and System Verification Office activities across the clinical enterprise. The leader will build upon Catholic Health’s proven quality and patient safety platform while providing new and innovative approaches that position Catholic Health as the regionally preferred healthcare provider with a national reputation for top decile performance in quality, safety and patient satisfaction. The Chief Quality Officer will develop and maintain strong collaborate relationships with all levels of management, medical staff, Catholic Health Governance and provide leadership on all quality related issues in collaboration with the VPMA’s, CNO’s, and Chairs of Catholic Health System. The Chief Quality Officer will play a critical role in advancing population health management strategies for the system and Catholic Medical Partners to achieve the institution’s goals with relation to medical care quality, education quality, research quality and patient safety, including partnering with the Senior Director of Graduate Education to lead integration of clinical practice with education and research.

Successful candidates will have a national reputation in quality and demonstrated success with developing innovative quality and safety programs that improve internal and external metrics. The ability to build collaborative relationships with leaders across a clinical enterprise and change management skills within a complex healthcare environment are required. A medical degree from an accredited medical school with current ABMS Board certification is required; an advanced degree in healthcare or business is preferred.
