ROLE of the POSITION
As part of our COAMFTE accreditation, we provide an on-site training clinic for our MS students in Couple and Family Therapy. All on-site clinics require a Clinic Director to manage the daily business functions of the clinic, provide supervision to student therapists, and respond to client needs. The CICFC Director oversees 36 student therapists, 5 student assistants, and is responsible for handling ethical and legal issues surrounding the clinic. Responsible for running the CICFC. The CICFC sees approximately 5,600 sessions per year and serves nearly 1,500 clients a year at no- or low-cost. The CICFC will have students from the MFT program serving as therapists.
This position requires a Master’s degree in Family Therapy or other related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Certification in Supervisor Designation from AAMFT. Professional License in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Other: Or pursuing Supervisor Designation from AAMFT with certification expected within a year of hire date.
Additional knowledge and skills needed:
Significant clinical coursework and clinical skill; previous experience with supervising
Familiarity with budgeting and tracking business finances
Some experience with marketing and networking to promote the clinic in the community
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
