Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is searching for a Director, Transplant Services to join our executive leadership team in a newly created role.
As the largest and most experienced transplant team in central Pennsylvania, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center offers a comprehensive transplant program including living donor transplants.
Our skilled transplant team includes surgeons, nephrologists and hepatologists to provide our patients with the most advanced care throughout their transplant journeys. As a leading academic medical center and educational institution, our clinical and research efforts allow patients instant access to cutting-edge medical and surgical resources and services.
The Director of Transplant will have direct oversight of four technical cost centers including: Heart, Kidney, Liver, and Pancreas Acquisition. The Director will be responsible for the ongoing development, growth and administrative oversight of the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Transplant Program and services. This will include promoting high standards of practice through on-going development of transplant policies, protocols and practice guidelines; leading rigorous performance improvement monitoring; support and facilitate staff education and transplant research.
As the service line leader, the Director of Transplant Services, has authority to act on all transplant performance improvement and administrative issues and initiate critical quality reviews. This individual will ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations as well as maintain highest levels of quality.
As strategic partner, the Director of Transplant Services will collaborate with leadership to devise a multi-year strategic plan for all PSHMC Transplant services that are aligned with the organizational vision and missions.
As an engaging people leader, this individual will develop high performing teams focused upon service excellence for transplant patients, families, and referring providers.
As face of the transplant program, the Director, Transplant Services will participate in regional, statewide and national activities affecting the Transplant Program, and will attend and participate in local, national and international meetings and conferences to remain current regarding issues relevant to the performance of duties.
Master’s Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration or Healthcare Related Field required
5 years of transplant leadership/management experience required
