In your pivotal role as a Hearing Technician, you will support patient care with occasional guidance, as well as maintain and prepare supplies and equipment, materials and/or information development.
Assist pediatric audiologists with hearing evaluations and hearing aid appointments.
Prepare clinic rooms for appointments and clean up treatment rooms at the conclusion of services.
Maintains supplies at acceptable levels.
Basic troubleshooting of equipment.
Perform basic cleaning of hearing aids.
Monitor patient schedules to ensure insurance information has been obtained for appointments and that equipment has arrived. Determine out of pocket costs for hearing aids services and notify families of this information.
Coordinate for the Central Auditory Processing Program--create packets, mail paperwork to families, triage questions from families, verify that paperwork has been received, schedule appointments.

REHAB PTA/COTA PATIENT DOCUMENTATION: Demonstrates sufficient proficiency in communicating functional impact of assessment findings, treatment interventions, treatment planning diagnosis, and disease process. Considers the communication needs/level of understanding of audience and may share appropriate information/literature.
AUDIOLOGY PATIENT EDUCATION: Communicates functional impact of assessment findings, treatment interventions, diagnosis, and disease process. Adapts communication to the level of understanding of the patient. Determines comprehension and need for repetition and/or revision of methods.
