Behavioral Specialist
JOB SUMMARYThe Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting mental health care within the clinic and coordinating referrals to other services outside the clinic. May provide evidence based treatments or work with other mental health providers when such treatment required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLESupports and coordinates mental health care with the patient's primary care provider (PCP) and, when appropriate, other mental health providers. Serves as the lead contact to screen and assess patients in the primary care clinic for common mental health and substance abuse disorders. Provides education for patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Monitors patient
