The incumbent serves as the Supervisory Social Worker for the Outpatient Mental Health, Community Based Outpatient Clinic with supervisory responsibility for all General Mental Non-Prescribing Clinical Providers. The incumbent has line and staff authority for resource allocations within the CBOC and ensures the efficient operation of the organizational unit. The incumbent's responsibilities include supervision of staff, professional management and administrative responsibilities that are complex in scope and that constitute a significant component of the medical center. Decisions are made exercising wide latitude and independent judgment. The incumbent assists the Supervisory Psychologist and the Chief of Mental Health Service Line with Leadership planning, establishing and implementing policies and procedures. The incumbent will coordinate well with leadership from Mental Health to assure that the program is operating in a way that helps veterans to be served in the appropriate environment given their presenting issues. Provides a full range of diagnostic, assessment and treatment services to veterans with psychological, emotional and behavioral problems, with special emphasis on brief and evidence-based interventions. The incumbent will conduct ongoing intensive reviews to ensure objectives are met and standards are adhered to. The incumbent has direct administrative and professional supervisory responsibility for subordinates. The incumbent will coordinate with the service line and other appropriate staff as needed regarding the monitoring of performance improvement activities, program reviews, treatment services and data analysis methods.
