This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Learn more The Incumbent serves as a Program Manager for PCMHI at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) and Psychology Service. The Program Manager is responsible for the mental health programmatic services of teams across the San Antonio and Kerrville VAMC and affiliated CBOC's. 2. Responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of therapeutic treatments programs such as evidenced based psychotherapies, individual and group psychotherapies and other non-evidenced based treatments per the PMCHI model. Monitoring access to timely service delivery of therapies and treatments. 3. Approve all leave requests from interdisciplinary psychotherapists and matrixed staff to ensure adequate clinical coverage of work duties on any given time. 4. Meet with matrix supervisors and mental health program managers on a regular basis to ensure adequate transfer of patients between clinics, adequate service offerings among clinics. 5. Review policies and procedures with staff to ensure compliance with performance measures related to access and clinic utilization rates including productivity measures such as SAIL, knowledge of Joint Commission standards. 6. Oversight of administrative and programmatic resources such as clinical demands and needs including psychological testing instruments, MBC, therapy treatment manuals, patient workbooks, and educational materials in support of staff needs. 7. Facilitate staff meetings with interdisciplinary psychotherapists for collaboration on mutual patients, compliance with performance measures and ensuring seamless access between programs. 8. Attend meeting with Chief Medical Officers, PCMHI AO, Program Support Assistant and Management Analysts to review consult assignment, clinic availability, and review appropriateness of consults. 9. Psychology Program Manager works closely with the respective AO's in meeting the necessary standards for providing patient care in areas such as appointment wait-times, consult status, coordination of group room space, monitoring open encounters, completion of clinical reminders, ensuring appropriate referrals to outside agencies and clinics for veterans. 10. Psychology Program Manager coordinates with discipline supervisors of matrixed staff assigned to these programs to ensure staff are working in accordance to the SOPs of the respective medicine clinics. 11. Psychology Program Manager manages the work of the program and its staff, ensuring that work is assigned in a systematic way and meets facility and VA guidelines/standards. 12. Psychology Program Manager meets on a regular basis with the matrix supervisors and AO's for status updates on programmatic changes, alterations to clinic staff schedules, review clinical demands and requests and ensure adequate coverage of clinic during holidays and other seasonal demands.
