The Department of Social Work at MSK is a dynamic group of oncology social workers who are dedicated to patient care, interprofessional collaboration, professional development and staff support to continually to seek to provide excellent psychosocial support and services to our patients and their support systems. As integral members of the medical and administrative teams, we combine excellent patient care with innovative programmatic approaches to deliver comprehensive psychosocial support along every phase of the disease continuum.

Lead and develop the clinical activities and programs for the Social Work Department. Ensuring efficient and effective operations and treatment interventions in the provision of high-quality services to MSKCC patients and families throughout the institution from the point of diagnosis through post-treatment, end of life and bereavement.
Provide clinical and programmatic leadership that focuses on excellent clinical care and the professional development of your team.
Have direct clinical work responsibility.
To be an authority in oncology social work, with a background in mentorship and the development of clinical social workers in oncology and palliative care.
A proven track record working in oncology in a hospital-based setting.
Demonstrated ability to speak at national professional conferences on clinical, leadership and programmatic issues.
15+years of hospital social work experience required. Masters preferred.
