The incumbent serves as a Staff Psychologist to the Addiction Treatment Programs in the Behavioral Health Service, and provides Veteran care consistent with the mission of the Harry S Truman Memorial VA Hospital. The incumbent will provide a full range of psychological services to Veterans with complex medical and mental health care needs within an inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health setting and will consult with medical and mental health staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Services provided include psychological assessment and individual, family, and group psychotherapies, using brief treatment modalities and empirically-based treatments. Provides consultation to professional staff within Truman VA and community providers - Develops and implements psychotherapeutic treatment plan for assigned case load of patients - Utilizes appropriate therapeutic techniques or combinations of techniques to provide Evidence-Based and Recovery- Oriented treatment to Veterans with complex mental health needs - Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques to treat addiction and addiction-related difficulties both in a residential and outpatient setting - Provides full range of psychodiagnostic services, including psychological assessment and psychological testing of patients
