The Clinical psychologist is a member of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration team assigned to provide mental health care/psychological services in the Primary Care setting. ---------------- $5,000 Recruitment Bonus For Highly Qualified Applicant ---------------- Applications will be reviewed on a weekly basis until the closing date of this open continuous announcement, as long as vacancies exist. The Psychologist is a member of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) team assigned to provide mental health care and psychological services in the Primary Care setting at the St. Cloud VA Health Care System. The psychologist will also provide clinical services for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, substance misuse, chronic pain, and health related comorbidities such as diabetes, tobacco cessation, weight loss, and sleep disorders. Duties of this position are, but not limited to: Provide full range of psychological assessment services, diagnosing mental disorders. Provide education to patients, family members, and significant others. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Provide consultation to professional staff and community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients. Develop, implement, and document psychotherapeutic treatment plans for patients on the Primary Care panel who require such treatment. Serve as a consultant to other medical center staff and assist in their understanding of psychological factors and formulation of appropriate treatment expectations regarding their patients.
