The New Mexico Veterans Affairs Health Care System (NMVAHCS) is looking for (3) Staff Psychologists to join the Residential Care Section of the Behavioral Health Care Line (BHCL) on the Albuquerque Campus. The incumbents will function as a program developers, trainers and psychotherapists within and across three Residential Units on campus. The incumbents will report administratively and clinically to the Chief, Residential Care Section of the BHCL at the NMVAHCS. Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provides a variety of psychodiagnostic services including appropriate selection of assessment instruments and methods leading to sound diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Provides services based on the results of psychodiagnostic assessment such as intervention development and treatment planning. Performs evaluations for Veterans with a variety of psychological disorders including substance abuse, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma disorders and personality disorders. Modifies evidence-based psychotherapies as needed according to Veteran needs. Provides administrative duties including: Scheduling of veterans and related issues; Medical record documentation as required, and in a timely manner; Returning veterans' phone calls; Report writing; and Attending organizational meetings. Consults with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
