Learn more This position serves as a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Psychologist in Mental Health Service (MHS) in the PTSD Clinical Team at the Eugene Community Based Outpatient Clinic. ***NOTICE: This position will be filled as a Psychologist or Social Worker. The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Treat Veterans admitted to the PTSD Clinical Team (PCT) for treatment of PTSD, and/or those Veterans with comorbid PTSD and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Fully assess and objectively diagnose mental health disorders, particularly PTSD, conduct psychological and/or neuropsychological screenings and/or assessments, and provide Evidence Based Psychotherapy (EBPs), specifically pertaining to the diagnoses of PTSD. Delivery of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and/or Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy for PTSD (CBCT-PTSD), either in person or via telemental health modalities, such as Clinical Video Teleconferencing (CVT) or VA Video Connect (VVC). Ideally, the incumbent should have successfully completed competency-based training in either or both CPT or PE. Develop, implement, and document the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders. Consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues. Involved in program evaluation and/or research activities. Function in accordance with the policies, principals, professional ethics and techniques of accepted Psychology practice to include the American Psychological Association, professional licensing code, and State laws.
