Social Worker
Social Worker provides clinical social work services to Veterans receiving substance use treatment and recovery services in the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center's Substance Use Disorder Recovery Program (SUDRP), including Veterans receiving treatment for opioid substance dependence through substitution with another pharmaceutical such as methadone or buprenorphine. Duties of the Social Worker are to include, but not limited to: Screening/Assessment - In conjunction with the SUDRP interdisciplinary treatment team, the Veteran's family members and significant others, the SUDRP Social Worker screens eligible Veterans for SUDRP services and completes/updates a psychosocial assessment within 30 days of the Veteran's admission to the program, per Medical Center policy.
