Dr. Karen Bridbord & Associates is currently seeking to hire a licensed therapist in New Jersey. Dr. Bridbord & Associates provides individual and couples counseling to adults via telehealth to clients in the New York and New Jersey areas.

She is one of the select few Certified Gottman Couples Therapists in the metropolitan New York area. Offering a highly personalized approach, Dr. Bridbord is a goal-oriented and solution-focused professional who tailors her services to the needs of each individual or couple. Depending on the situation, she integrates traditional psychodynamic concepts with contemporary methods such as cognitive, behavioral, Gottman, attachment, and systems theories, and delivers them in a style that is caring and direct, gentle and collaborative.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a mental health-related field required
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Prior experience in psychotherapy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Empathy for clients.
• Confidentiality with client information.
• Demonstrated knowledge of treatment methods for individual and couples therapy to address mental health needs.
• Experience working with couples in a therapy setting
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and couples therapy by utilizing evidence-based treatments
• Perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans.
• Provide individuals with the resources needed to reach personal goals
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Maintain appropriate documentation of session content, interventions, and treatment
• Manage confidential clinical records and perform related clinical responsibilities such as intake processing, computer data entry, and case records management

License, Certification, Registration

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR Licensed Mental Health Counselor (must be licensed in New Jersey)

Notes:

• The position can be filled by either an LMFT, LMHC, or a LCSW.
