A professional who works closely with staff within VHA and in the community to assist with the coordination of services, access to care, and education for returning combat veterans. The incumbent ensures that the veteran receives efficient service & quality care in a setting commensurate with his/her assessed needs. Is based in the medical center grounds, but requires travel & working weekends and evenings in order to meet with military Reserve and National Guard units when they are available.
