The Social Worker practices in the inpatient medicine unit. The GS-9 entry level Social Worker has less than one year of post-MSW experience and is not yet licensed or certified at the independent practice level. The incumbent functions at the full performance level (GS-11) which requires completion of a minimum of 1 year of post­ Master Social Work degree experience and licensure or certification in a state at the independent practice level. Applicants pending the completion of educational, or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
