7:00am-5:30pm, including weekends/holidays

Summary:
Electroencephalogram Technician, under supervision, operates electronic equipment which graphically records electrical impulses generated in the brain to obtain data for the evaluation of brain function.
 
Responsibilities:
- Accurately marks, measures, and applies electrodes using the 10-20 system in an appropriate amount of time.
- Performs high quality standard EEGs using technically adequate criterion.
- Indicate artifacts or interferences derived from sources outside of the brain, such as poor electrode contact or patient movement on EEG recordings.
- Records, reviews, annotates, and organizes EEG data.
- Understands and applies knowledge of EEG to provide excellent patient care and customer service to patients and families.
-  Maintains diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
- Other duties as required.
 
Other information:
Technical Expertise
- Experience in EEG testing and procedures is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required, EPIC software is preferred.
Education and Experience
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required Enrollment in an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program is required Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program is preferred.
2. Certification: EEG Registration (R. EEG T.) is required within two years of hire. Healthcare BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
3. Years of relevant experience: Preferred clinical experience
4. Years of experience supervising: None
