Determine the differences of both physical and/or psychological effects of aging and physical/mental impairments. Implement facility guidelines for the prevention of pressure ulcers. Maintain general cleanliness of the inpatient/resident's environment including emptying and/or cleaning urinals, bed pans, GU bags, suction bottles, disposing of dirty linen and disposable briefs. Assist as needed with laundering and distributing resident's personal clothing. Utilize specialized equipment such as ceiling lifters, wheelchair movers, steady and/or electric stretchers according to Safe Patient Handling and Movement Policy. Perform a range of clinical support duties, which include taking, recording vital signs and reporting deviations to the RN.
