United Health Services is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our WMC Radiology team in Johnson City, NY. This is a benefits-eligible position.

Radiology Technologist with OR Overview
The Radiologic Technologist ensures that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable. Customers served include UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.
UHS Wilson Medical Center is a 280-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center. In this position, you’ll serve a medical facility that is a regional leader in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery and neurosciences, cancer care, maternity and high-risk obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, blood disorder treatment, and physical therapy and rehabilitation. Wilson is a bustling hospital and is a 24-hour designated stroke and chest pain center.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Demonstrates the ability to perform routine portable and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as operating room procedures, as requested by referring physicians as well as providing all required documentation on requisition.
Establishes effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, ancillary departments, and customers to ensure quality patient care is rendered.
Ensures proper safety procedures are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to according to ALARA principles.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of UHS information service systems.
Provides patient education and thorough documentation to provide the best quality of care for all patient needs.

Position Qualifications
Education/Experience
Associates Degree in Science in Radiologic Technology
License/Certification
New York license as Radiologic Technologist or eligible.
Obtain CPR Certification within first three months of hire.
