Northwell Health- Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan, NY
The Department of Psychiatry at Lenox Hill Hospital, a part of Northwell Health, is recruiting a BE/BC Director of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. We are seeking applicants with outstanding clinical and managerial skills who have a passion for leadership and innovation.
The new Director will be primarily responsible for enhancing and expanding the child and adolescent program in our premier outpatient ambulatory program. The Outpatient Center for Mental Health (OCMH) will be moving in 2024 to a newly renovated three-story facility on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. As part of our initiative to improve access, plans are underway to expand our clinical programs geared to younger individuals. This individual will work collaboratively with the Director of Outpatient Services and the Departmental Chair to meet and exceed program goals.
The Department offers outpatient psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and neuropsychological services to younger people. We currently employ three Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists and six Clinical Psychologists. We have integrated Child & Adolescent experience into our Psychology Internship and Externship Programs, and we have a new, child-focused Post-Doctoral Fellowship position. Additionally, our Center for Attention and Learning (CAL) offers sophisticated, foundation-funded neuropsychological testing to underserved students ranging from grade school to college. Complementing our formal child & adolescent services, OCMH is heavily invested in programs aimed at transitional age youth. These include our Early Treatment Program for first-episode psychosis, an affiliation with Northwell Health’s College Program, and a comprehensive mental health program for Lenox Hill’s medical/surgical residents and fellows. The new Director will be responsible for the integration of all clinical programs focused on younger individuals. Furthermore, the new Director will work collaboratively with the Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology Service Line.
