The Emergency Department (ED) social worker conducts multi-axial diagnostic evaluations, suicide risk management assessments, and clinical reminders as the initial evaluator for veterans with mental health presenting problems. The ED social worker is available to work different shifts through out the seven day work week, and is also available to provide on-call coverage between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:00 am, seven days a week, via a rotating schedule.
