This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are varied, non-routine, typically high stress, and involve complex issues. This position requires organization, analysis, interpretation of information from multiple sources, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts include all levels of staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, community agencies, and other care facilities.Minimum Requirements:Experience working in a hospital/acute situation or equivalent social service agency, experience relative to the medical social work function requiredEducation/Licenses/Certifications:Master's Degree in Social Work Note: Current MHS Interns who are within three (3) months of their Master's Degree may also be consideredLSWAIC (Licensed Social Work Associate/Independent Clinical) requiredLICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) preferred
