Learn more at www.multicarejobs.orgPosition Summary:The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessment, consultation, therapeutic interventions, and referrals for patients and families in relation to psychosocial and mental health aspects of medical management. This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are varied, non-routine, typically high stress, and involve complex issues. This position requires organization, analysis, interpretation of information from multiple sources, and the use of discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts include all levels of staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, community agencies, and other care facilities.Minimum Requirements:Experience working in a hospital/acute situation or equivalent social service agency, experience relative to the medical social work function requiredEducation/Licenses/Certifications:Master's Degree in Social Work Note: Current MHS Interns who are within three (3) months of their Master's Degree may also be consideredLSWAIC (Licensed Social Work Associate/Independent Clinical) requiredLICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) preferred
